Here's how
Creating your loved ones Memorial Photo Tribute is a tough task. Our aim is to help you achieve a personalised journey through Still Moments in Time captured through a camera lens.
The following guide will help you plan and achieve a uniquely special keepsake.
-
How many photos should I select?
The following outlines an approximate duration for your video based on the total number of photos. It is important to ensure photos are on the screen long enough for you to view them and then transition into the next photo smoothly.
60 photo’s = 6 minutes (approx)
80 photo’s = 8 minutes (approx)
100 photo’s = 10+ minutes (approx)
-
How many songs do I need?
A minimum of 2 songs is required to ensure sufficient music to accompany the photos. If you keep the above times in mind it will help you with your music choices as song durations vary considerably. If you are unsure it helps to include a 3rd song even if it isn’t used.
-
Where do I source my music from?
All the music we use must be purchased to comply with copyright laws, so we find i-Tunes to be a great resource. If you are searching Youtube for music please ensure the specific version you would like is available on i-Tunes. Unfortunately Spotify and other live streaming apps do not allow us to purchase the music.
-
What format should the photos be?
-
Hard copy photos are fine as we can scan them for you.
-
Digital photos on USB or sent via our Website.
-
Framed Photos – these are best removed from frames where possible, where this isn’t photos can be taken of the original however sometimes this can impact the clarity of the picture.
-
Smartphone screen shots don’t tend to come up very clear, it is better to download or save the original.
-
When do I need to provide my photos to Still Moments in Time?
Where possible we require 4 business days. This will allow us sufficient time to build your memorial video and deliver it back to the Funeral Home.
PLEASE NOTE: If your service is to be held in one of the major Perth cemeteries, we are required to upload the video and music to their portal the day prior to the service. There is no longer the ability to play your video on DVD or play a music CD within these chapels.

The main Holding Photo
This is the main photo that will appear on the chapel screens with the full name of your loved one. Select a great photo that makes you smile when you walk in and look up at the screen.
